Research Interests
The Tse Research Group investigates topics in nanostructured materials synthesis, combustion and propulsion, microgravity processes, advanced laser-based diagnostics, energy and environmental issues, and fire safety. The research methodologies encompass experimentation; computational simulation of complex flows, chemistry, and molecular dynamics; and mathematical analysis. A key research goal is to develop and optimize advanced materials systems, by investigating the fundamental mechanisms involved in materials synthesis and processing via characterization and modeling methods, so that specific materials with tailored properties can be manufactured in large quantities with high purity.
